Tools for Rhino3d to perform common laser and CNC joinery
Solo work. I wrote the software in python.
My favorite tool in the shop is the laser-cutter. Nothing beats a laser-cutter for fast “design-to-build” iteration time.
Certain joinery methods are well-suited for laser-cut parts, namely finger-joints and slots. I found myself spending more time constructing joinery in Rhino3D than actually designing my parts, so I wrote this tool to automatically create the joinery.
It also dog-bones slots, which is particularly useful if you have a CNC router table—my second favorite tool in the shop.
I still use these tools to this day. Saves significant time with every design.
