Puppet Show (2011)
A digital puppet show for a deserving family
Solo work. I built the animatronic puppet, computer vision, electronics, and computer graphics.
This was a crazy puppet show made for a little girl. It incorporated a wireless “sock-puppet controller,” which was a potentiometer and digital compass transmitting wirelessly to a base station.
Signals about the mouth state and orientation of the puppet were used to drive either a puppet-show visual on a screen, or an animatronic puppet character that I fabricated.
