An origami owl robot powered by Intel

I collaborated with our team at Two Bit Circus and Intel. I did most the CAD and design work for the mechanisms, and wrote a lot of the firmware.

A Kickstarter to manufacture papercraft owls that moved and that kids could program to learn Arduino programming. Not funded. But fun to design!

I loved loved loved this project. The design incorporated a complex concentric system with a shaft to turn the head and a sleeve to move the wings, all made of folded cardboard. The servo mounts, the shafts, everything was cardboard.

Such a fun design challenge.
